Professional degree education is an important way to actively serve China′s national policy of constructing an innovation-oriented country. To improve talent training quality of the professional degree program of Master of Chinese Materia Medica (MCMM)
Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has actively explored the talent training modes of the program. While moral education is our fundamental task
we should meet the needs of the TCM industry based on industry-education integration by optimizing postgraduate cultivation plan
building a talent training model of MCMM consisting of "one center
three stages
and multi-element integration"
establishing a curriculum system of "solid foundation and intensive practice"
strengthening training bases and professional tutor teams
and improving the evaluation system of professional degree graduation thesis. Our practice and exploration may provide reference for training high-level talents with practical ability of Chinese materia medica to meet the needs of industrial development.
