Abstract: The selection of acupoints and application of acupuncture-moxibustion techniques are the two fundamental factors. However, in acupuncture-moxibustion teaching materials, there is more emphasis on acupoints techniques. Based on the advantage of effective combination of acupuncture-moxibustion techniques, this paper put forward that the combined techniques should be implemented in the teaching, and acupuncture-moxibustion prescriptions should be modified. This teaching reform will benefit students and clinical practitioners in grasping and applying acupuncture-moxibustion techniques in practice.
