Questionnaire and analysis on curriculum design of master degree program of TCM clinical medicine for international students of Western medicine: A case study of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine*

Abstract: For master degree program of TCM clinical medicine for international students of Western medicine, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) has been actively exploring the teaching mode and content of clinical teaching. We conducted a thorough investigation of TCM clinical courses offered in various countries. We also conducted a questionnaire survey towards teachers and international students on course modules, clinical curriculum setting modes, organization of teaching and learning, curriculum structures as well as program duration, length of internship, and the teaching of new courses. On the basis of the above investigation, we developed measures of adjustment and improved the curriculum system so as to effectively promote the successful implementation and development of the program. It is hoped to enhance the curriculum system of master degree program of TCM clinical medicine for international students of Western medicine.
