Abstract: Mind mapping, an effective visualized tool to display divergent thinking, has been widely used in education home and abroad. Doctrines of Different Schools in TCM encompasses many TCM doctors from various schools with different academic thoughts. The application of mind mapping can enable students to construct a net work linking scattered information, yet there are no reports on the application of this method.By introducing mind mapping into teaching, we find that it helps students to build a knowledge framework, and improves their learning efficiency. Mind mapping also helps teachers to guide teaching and learning outcomes of students. It indicates that the use of mind mapping in the teaching of Doctrines of Different Schools in TCM is effective and worth applying to other courses.
