Abstract: Objective This paper aims at conducting a questionnaire on college nursing graduates to collect information about their clinical developments and actual ability as well as their feedbacks and their employers’ feedbacks on teaching reform of nursing education in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Methods A questionnaire was conducted on 215 nursing undergraduates from Grade 2015 to 2017, and 72 employers from 18 hospitals. Results Among the first four abilities emphasized by employers, the nursing graduates are doing well in the first three, which accounts for 3/4 of the proportion. However, their ability for research and innovation is relatively inadequate. The average of the first-level indicators of self-assessment of graduates’ clinical ability is distributed at 7.42-8.28, which is medium indicating a satisfactory result. Conclusion Both nursing graduates themselves as well as their employers are satisfied with the clinical performances, and the quality of nursing education is recognized. Also, the tracking survey is helpful in guiding the reform of nursing education and teaching.
